I am now officially the $4.95/month renter of a little piece of the internet! I have a blog: www.icebear.typepad.com I equate it to renting a studio. Whereas putting my pictures on DeviantART or other such sites is like living with a bunch of roommates. Roommates are nice and a lot of fun, but it's not polite to walk around naked in front of them, and lots of times they make really ugly pseudo-photo-realistic ebony pencil drawings of people's faces, and you hate them for it. Or they draw pictures of themselves or others as sexy anthropomorphized animals, which while being a healthy outlet for certain sexual proclivities, is nevertheless not art. And the landlords won't let you paint the fucking walls. But the new studio is kind of scary and lonely, too. And you can't quite figure out how to get the heater to work... or something. Okay, bad metaphor completed! I'll stay here, too... I just wanted a little place of my own.
